About impactfork

Built from practice

We are a product studio from Berlin. We build software for fields we work in ourselves. We started in education, today we work just as much in sport.

Why we build what we build

impactfork grew out of work in the social sector. Our founder Jonas Hettwer is managing director of JOBLINGE gAG Berlin. The non-profit helps young people into apprenticeships. The first tools were built there because they were needed.

One pattern stuck. We build for areas we know first-hand. That holds for the apprenticeship market as much as for sailing, diving or golf. When you have the problem yourself, you notice faster when a solution misses the point.

Technically the task is always the same. Messy data turns into a clear next step. That might be a fitting apprenticeship, a safe anchorage, or the one training task that actually improves your swing.

Values

What we stand for

From practice

We build for fields we work in or spend our free time in. That does not replace user research, but it does rule out the worst assumptions.

Doing, not talking

From idea to running platform. Fast, pragmatic, with an eye on the people who end up using it.

Measuring honestly

We do not claim anything we cannot back up. A number without a basis is worse than no number.
